Sault Ste. Marie's local newspaper, The Evening News, has developed a web site. The current copy of the paper is available on their web site. Obituaries are available for the previous month. Lake Superior State University has been indexing the paper since 1991 and provides a searchable version of their index online (1991-present). Bayliss Public Library has been completed the index for 1888 and part of 1889. Both indexes are currently available through the Sault Ste. Marie Evening News Search listed below.
